Celebrate summer’s end and the move from light to dark with a day of writing and food! In this half-day creative writing workshop we will explore transition, change, and different aspects of death and dying. October 30th falls just before Halloween, Dia de los Muertos, and All Souls Day, and we will be finding non-religious inspiration from these different holidays in a way that promises to be celebratory, fun, and enlightening.

The ancient Celts believed that Samhain (the original Halloween) was a time when the border between the spirit world and this world became thin, an intriguing possibility that bodes well for some truly inspired writing. Let’s pull those skeletons from the closet and let them dance, calavera-style! Snacks will be provided (and maybe some Halloween candy!).
