I don’t know about everyone else, but for some reason, I always tend to notice animals more frequently in the fall time. Raccoons scurry through my back yard in the middle of the night, birds peck at shriveling berries and dying leaves in hopes of spiking big juicy worms that lie underneath, squirrels gathering nuts for the winter and deer just chill out in groves of redwood trees.
For an amusing and perception-jumbling exercise, think about an animal that you’ve been noticing a lot lately. What was it busily attending to? What did it look like?
Now, using these images and ideas, imagine that you are this animal, observing a human.
